This is an authentic antique (circa 19th century) Master-quality®, Double-blue, Throat chakra Tibetan singing bowl. It has had a lingam recently forged into it, making it an interesting new hybrid classification of singing bowl. The lingam (the phallic shape in the center of the bowl) is known to have been forged into singing bowls as early as the 15th Century. We believe it to be a three-dimensional representation of the Tibetan Axis Mundi, or bindu: the point of where we merge with the divine and lose our perspective that we are separate from it. This is the only Double-blue hybrid we have found as yet.

Sound sample-- First is the sound of the bowl struck on it's upper outside edge
with the included Tibetan-wool padded mallet. The second sound is the
same bowl played around the outside rim with the leather mallet.
