Sound sample-- This is the sound of the bowl struck on it's upper outside edge with the included padded mallet.

This singing bowl can also be played around the upper outside rim with the wood end of the same mallet which will produce a higher range of  "singing" tones (just follow the instructions in the Tips and Information Sheet which comes included with each singing bowl).
