A beautiful medium-large Green Tara thangka with large central figure sitting on a double-lotus, in a lobed archway within a 7 tiered temple surmounted by 3 stupas. This hand painted thangka-- a copy of a masterpiece attributed to the most famous Nepalese artist Aniko, and now in The Cleveland Museum of Art-- is rendered in bright uplifting colors in classical late 13 century Newari style. .
