Matched 3-piece set of ANTIQUE Tibetan Singing Bowls  

Comprised of  three Master-quality antique Tibetan Singing Bowls personally hand selected by Rain Gray in the Himalayas, and professionally matched by Shakti in Los Angeles.  Bowls are authentic antiques, circa 16th through 18th century, and measure from 4 1/2" to 5 1/8" in diameter. Matched for their sweetly harmonic 3rds, in an ascending scale. A unique and rare gift that will surely become a treasured heirloom!
 

 Includes three Tibetan silk-brocade Singing Bowl Cushions.  Please specify your choice of Cushion color(s)-- choose either (as shown above, from left to right) Royal Blue, Tibetan Red, or Plum.
 

 and a set of two special Playing Mallets which are handmade of Himalayan hardwood, Tibetan wool and suede.  Use the padded wool end to strike the bowls rim to produce deep, mellow, gonging tones. Use the wood end, or the suede end, to play the bowls around the rim to produce the famous harmonic singing tones.
 

and a Tips and Information Sheet printed on parchment cardstock. The information  included covers historical information, a generalized metallurgical analysis from the British Museum in London, information on how to hold the playing mallet, how to play the bowl around the rim, and a number of advanced techniques.

Sound sample-- First you will hear  the sound of the three bowls being struck on their upper outside edges with the included padded mallet, from lowest pitch to highest pitch. Then you will hear the first bowl being struck again as the three strikes of the bowls start fading.

These singing bowls can also be played around their upper outside rims with the wood end of the same mallet which will produce a higher range of  "singing" tones (just follow the instructions in the Tips and Information Sheet which comes included with each singing bowl).
