A protector deity, Garuda is a an eagle-like creature from Hindu, Buddhist and Jain mythology. When see in its zoomorphic form, he is often seen with horns and a crown of feathers, and is considered the vehicle of Vishnu.
This mallet is a perfect alternative to the wool-padded mallets for producing a struck tone or a rim (female) tone while playing the upper outside rim of a singing bowl with the wooden end of the mallet.
