About the Sound Sample
First, we strike this bowl on its rim with a 30mm Himalayan hardwood wool-padded mallet. Next, we play the rim tone around the outside rim with the leather end of the 25mm leather-padded mallet. Lastly, we isolate the fundamental tone with the leather end of the same 25mm leather-padded mallet.

A type of relatively rare singing bowl that has a soldered base. Unlike most singing bowls which have to be held upright in order to be played, it’s easy to grip the Pedestal’s handle to direct the bowl’s sound with precision. This is key for sound healing applications, as the bowl’s sound can penetrate the body from any angle. They are also known as Stem Bowls and Chalice Bowls.
